Finite Verb

A finite verb is one that shows tense and changes according to the subject. Example:

$$\underset{\text{subject}}{\underbrace{\text{Ashu}}}\stackrel{\text{finite verb}}{\overbrace{\text{likes}}}\underset{\text{verb}}{\underbrace{\text{running}}}\stackrel{\text{object}}{\overbrace{\text{marathons.}}}$$

Sensitive to Subject

$$\text{They}\underline{\text{like}}\text{running}\text{marathons.}$$

Shows tense

$$\text{Ashu}\stackrel{\text{present tense}}{\overbrace{\underline{\text{likes}}}}\text{running}\text{marathons.}$$
